Tuition for a full-time students (12 or more credits) is a flat rate based on residency. Part-time student tuition is per credit hour. Regional residents are residents of Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia that live within 120 miles of Frostburg. Check out our reduced tuition regional radius.

Collaborative Engineering Programs
Students enrolled in the electrical or mechanical engineering programs offered by Frostburg State in collaboration with University of Maryland, College Park are subject to a different tuition and fee arrangement due to the unique nature of the program. During the freshman and sophomore years, students pay Frostburg State tuition and fees. After completing 45 credits of designated course work, students will apply for formal acceptance into UMCP’s Clark School of Engineering and will be considered University of Maryland, College Park students for the remainder of the program. Students will then pay both University of Maryland, College Park tuition rates and Frostburg State fees to the Frostburg State University and Student Billing Office.

Room and Board
The cost of room and board varies depending on what type of room and meal plan a student chooses. The Residence Life Office lists out the costs for each type of residence hall room and available meal plans.
The University reserves the right to provide some or all instruction and related academic activities through alternative methods of delivery, including remote delivery. It also reserves the right to change the method of delivery before or during an academic term in the event of a health or safety emergency or other circumstance when it determines that such change is necessary or in the best interests of the campus community. Tuition and mandatory fees will not be reduced or refunded if the University changes the delivery method for any or all of an academic session.
